Just a quick video with Team Member Chris Bensch surfing the P&H Hammer. We pick up trash because we love the ocean, and we wanted to share that stoke with you!

ABOUT US:
We are a team of three kayakers with a mission to promote the intrinsic and ecological importance of the world's oceans, rivers, and waterways. By "being the change we wish to see in the world", we hope to inspire others to do the same.

MISSION:
Just pick it up!

Pick up litter you see and let's turn the tide. If there's 10,000 people littering in your city, we only need 10,001 to make progress. Regardless of politics, economics, religion, geography, etc., we think most people can agree litter is bad.

NEVER ENDING CLEANUP CONTEST:
To enter, like our Facebook page. Remove trash from any waterway using any human powered craft and post pics of the removal & disposal to our wall. The person/group with the largest amount of trash removed at the end of each month will win prizes from our sponsors.

RECENT PROJECTs:
"Portland to the Ocean Trashpedition" May 5-12, 2012

DESCRIPTION:
We paddled our sea kayaks from Portland to the Ocean with canoes in tow to serve as "garbage barges" to collect all the trash we found on this 100+ mile journey to the Columbia River's terminus at the Pacific Ocean. Our goal was to document the path of plastic pollution from purchase and consumption at a downtown convenience store to the storm drain, into the river, all the way to the ocean and it's eventual convergence with the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. By documenting our efforts to stop plastic litter from making it's way to sea, we hope to inspire others to pick up trash when they see it. Movie is currently in post production and is set for completion in 2013.

Perfect Day Video Project: September 2012

The Perfect Day is all about why we love the ocean. It's the reason we encourage stewardship and promote the intrinsic and ecological importance of the world's lakes, rivers, oceans and waterways. Sharing our experience with you; The stoke, bounty, beauty, and shear awesomeness that is the Oregon Coast is what it's all about. Video is currently in post production and is set for completion in 2013.

The Search for the Perfect Day: Jan-March 2013

Our short video project "the Perfect Day" shot in September 2012 was riddled with challenges; Namely bad weather. We approached this concept with a specific idea in mind of what the perfect day was for us. That vision did not include dark, gloomy, fog & rain riddled weather. We spent days driving up and down the coast searching for sunshine, eventually driving 200 miles inland to find it.

In our failed attempt to capture our original vision of the perfect day, we realized it wasn't blue skies that make it, but adventure with good friends is what we truly enjoyed most.

That's what the Search for the Perfect Day is all about. We're going to explore the Redwood Coast of Northern California, the Florida Everglades and Keys, and the Islands of Hawaii in our quest for adventure. Throughout our journey, we'll identify the threats facing each area, and showcase the people living the dream and making a difference.
